Update Jan. 25:
The City of Jonesboro posted on Facebook that despite city offices being closed on Monday due to inclement weather, city warming shelters would still be open.
All city-operated shelters will open on Monday at 9 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. The Salvation Army has an overnight shelter available, located at 800 Cate Ave. Check-in is from 4-5 p.m. and checkout follows breakfast.

JET will not be providing free rides to shelters on Monday due to city offices closing. Those needing transportation to a shelter are asked to call (870) 935-5553 to make arrangements.
In addition, the City of Caraway opened its Fire Station, located at 304 E. State St. in Caraway, on Jan. 23 as a warming shelter. It will be open until Jan. 27 at 8 a.m. There are no overnight stays.

Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – As temperatures plunge this week, warming shelters will be open across Jonesboro.
The City of Jonesboro posted on its Facebook a list of daytime warming shelters, which will be housed inside Community Centers across the city. The City of Caraway also updated its Facebook for warming shelters.
While the city’s shelters will be opening during the daytime, the Salvation Army of Jonesboro will be offering an overnight shelter at 800 Cate Ave., which will also provide two free meals. Check-in is from 4-5 p.m., and checkout follows breakfast. This will be open as long as temperatures are below freezing.
Jonesboro Economical Transportation (JET) buses and trollies were providing free transportation to and from all Jonesboro warming shelters. On Saturday, Jan. 24, JET announced it was closing early due to unsafe road conditions, and that those needing a ride to a warming shelter needed to call (870) 935-5553.

- Monday through Friday, 3:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., and on Saturday from 12 to 5 p.m.
- Earl Bell Community Center (1212 S. Church St., Jonesboro)
- Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on Saturday from 12 to 5 p.m.
- Jonesboro Youth Community Center (1421 W. Nettleton Ave., Jonesboro)
- Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on Saturday from 12 to 5 p.m.
- Parker Park Community Center (1506 N. Church St., Jonesboro)
- Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on Saturday from 12 to 5 p.m.
- Caraway Fire Station (304 E. State St., Caraway)
- Jan. 23, 5 p.m. to Jan. 27, 8 a.m. No overnight stays.
