Jonesboro, AR – Contributed – St. Bernards Hospice recently received “Superior Performer” recognition by the national organization, Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP), for its overall caregiver and family experience during 2025.

In particular, St. Bernards Hospice ranked among the top 20% of all eligible SHP clients, with the award acknowledging hospice providers that consistently provide high-quality service to families and caregivers of patients receiving hospice care.

The 2025 award recipients were determined by reviewing and ranking the overall CAHPS Hospice caregiver experience score for more than 1,800 hospice providers.

With one of the largest CAHPS Hospice benchmarks in the nation, SHP is in a unique position to identify and recognize organizations that have made the family and caregiver experience a priority and have been rewarded for their efforts with high marks on the CAHPS Hospice survey.

“Providing excellent patient care takes relentless effort, and our SHPBest award winners embody that every year. This program lets us recognize the organizations that never settle, that keep improving the patient and caregiver experience even when they’re already performing at a high level. That kind of commitment deserves to be celebrated,” said Jason Ballet, President of SHP.

St. Bernard Hospice includes both Home Hospice services as well as Inpatient Hospice Care at St. Bernards Medical Center and the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House at St. Bernards. St. Bernards last received this prestigious award in 2022.

“It’s not lost upon us that we walk alongside patients, families and caregivers through the end-of-life journey,” said St. Bernards Director of Hospice Services Lindsey Davis. “This recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects their direct feedback on how we serve them. It speaks to the compassion, communication and quality of care our team provides throughout the communities within our 50-mile service area and at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House.”
