Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Aug. 15, 2025 – The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory for Jonesboro and much of Northeast Arkansas, with heat indices forecasted to be in excess of 105 degrees.
The advisory takes effect on Friday, Aug. 15, at 11 a.m. and remains in effect until 7 p.m. Another advisory will go into effect Saturday, Aug. 16, at 11 a.m., and remain in effect until 7 p.m.

The NWS warned that hot temperatures and humidity could result in heat illnesses. Read up on signs of heat-related illnesses here.
It also said people should drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioning whenever possible, stay out of the sun, and check in on relatives and neighbors.
