Empower announces chief broadband officer

Jonesboro, AR – (Contributed) – Aug. 20, 2025 – Empower, Delivered by Craighead Electric, announced the appointment of Adrian Flye as Chief Broadband Officer.

A member of the organization since 2022, Flye has served as vice president of innovation and technology for the past three years. In this new role, he will oversee operations for Empower as the company continues to grow and develop high-speed internet access across rural Northeast Arkansas.

“I’m honored to step into this position and continue working alongside a talented team that’s committed to better connecting and serving our communities,” Flye said. “Empower’s future is rooted in innovation, and I look forward to leading new advancements in technology that will drive our mission forward and deliver transformative solutions for Northeast Arkansas.”

Tim Fitzgerald, chairman of the Empower Board of Directors, shared his support:

Flye lives in Jonesboro with his wife, Elizabeth, and their two daughters.

Empower, Delivered by Craighead Electric, serves more than 16,500 internet subscribers across Northeast Arkansas. Along with its parent company, Craighead Electric Cooperative Corporation (CECC), the organizations employ 135 people. CECC serves approximately 31,000 meters across eight counties in the region.
