Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Sept. 30, 2025 – “Eleven and Oh and Nowhere to Go” has become the motto associated with Arkansas State University’s 1975 football team.

Led by fifth-year head coach Bill Davidson, the Indians compiled an overall record of 11–0 with a mark of 5–0 in conference play, winning the Southland title.

One would think an undefeated college football team might have a chance to play in a postseason bowl game. But that wasn’t the case.

The Indians were “11-0 with nowhere to go” after the season ended.

On Saturday, Oct. 4, Arkansas State will recognize members of the 1975 team at the football game with Texas State. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.

John Lorick from Dewitt, Arkansas, was a defensive back on the 1975 team. Head Coach Bill Davidson said about Lorick, “he’ll stick you!”

John’s son, Corbin, has written an article recalling his father’s career and the story of the 1975 team.

Watch for the story on JRN this Thursday morning, Oct. 2.
