Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – U.S. Postal Service deliveries in Arkansas remain temporarily suspended due to lingering wintry conditions.

Becky Hernandez, a spokesperson for USPS, said winter weather has affected Arkansas postal operations, adding that the safety of USPS employees and customers was a high priority.

“Due to safety concerns, mail delivery has been temporarily suspended to some residential and business customers. Local postal officials will continually monitor conditions and make thoughtful decisions regarding processing, delivery, transportation, and retail operations,” Hernandez said. “The Postal Service employs a robust and proven plan for such weather events and will remain vigilant prior to, during, and after the storm to ensure the mail keeps moving, as long as it is safe to do so.”
